Sunday Post 6th January 2013

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ to recap the past week on the blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

These are the books I got this week-

For review:

  • Dance of Shadows by Yelena Black. This is due to be published in February. Thanks to Bloomsbury and Netgalley for the review copy.
  • The Slither Sisters by Charles Gilman (Book 2 in the Lovecraft Middle School series). This was a surprise from Quirk Books which turned up on my doorstep. (It also scared the life out of me, as I didn't realise at first that the cover was holographic, and what looks like two red-haired girls transform into pale demon-eyed girls with snakes for hair when the book is turned!) Quirk website shows the transformation of the cover Thanks Quirk books!
Audiobooks:

  • Angelfall by Susan Ee. I've seen this (relatively unknown) book on a few peoples best of 2012 lists recently. I also checked it out on Amazon and found that out of 125 ratings, 106 were 5 star, and 16 were 4 star. I always think that this a good sign that this is going to be a good book.
  • Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins. I've been meaning to read this one ever since it came out.
  • Altered by Jennifer Rush. I keep hearing good things about this one as well. It feels special to download the audiobook version of this, as well because it's not being published here until February.
Those were the books I got this week!

Always Lost in Stories also turned 2 on Friday!
I'm hosting a 2nd Blogoversary giveaway to celebrate, where you have the chance to win any YA book of your choice up to £10. Enter here

  12. That is a seriously creeping cover! Though the books do sound really interesting. I've been seeing Angelfall for what seems like forever, I guess I just need to break down and try it out.

Happy reading and thank you for visiting!!
