In My Mailbox 11th March 2012

In My Mailbox is a weekly event hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren where book bloggers can talk about the books they've gotten the past week- whether bought, borrowed, swapped, or given for review. This feature was started to increase interaction between bloggers and to increase our awareness of all the new books coming out.
This week I got two fabulous looking books for review  (must...stay...away...from Netgalley... Too...many...books...to...read...
Pull...too...strong...... Powerless... to ... resist...)

For review:

  • Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan. (Goodreads). This is about a girl who is in love with a boy she has never met- because he is a voice in her head. From the description this sounds amazing, AND it's set in England, AND it's written by Sarah Rees Brennan, whose Demon series was so cool and so funny it nearly had me snorting my tea up my nose. Can't wait to read this one. This is due to be published in September.
Thanks to Random House publishers and Netgalley for the review copy.

  • The Girl in the Clockwork Collar by Kady Cross. (Goodreads). This sounds like a fabulous steampunk story set in New York in 1897. This is the sequel to The Girl in the Steel Corset, which I have to confess I haven't read yet, but is currently sitting on my shelf staring at me and screaming "read me, read me!". I'm going to bow to it's demands and read it next. Girl in the Clockwork Collar is due to be published in May 2012.
Thanks to Harlequin Publishers and Netgalley for the review copy.

I also bought some fabulous books that I'd already read last year from the library, but that I LOVED.
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness is now available in paperback, and it's such a beautiful book that I wanted to have it. And the Chaos Walking Trilogy (starting with The Knife of Never Letting Go) also by Patrick Ness is currently on sale at the Works bookshop for just £5 for all three books. This is an amazing series, so all you UK people, if you haven't already read it head over there now to snap 'em up!

Those were the books that came to me this week. What did you get?
Happy reading!
