The Time Will Come #53

The Time Will Come is a weekly meme hosted by Jodie at Books For Company, where we can spotlight those books that we've had sitting on our shelves for too long. Books that we really want to read but never seem to get around to.

Okay- I want to read this book so badly! I had pre-ordered it months in advance (and I hardly ever do that), and I was so excited when it came. This is the sequel to the fantastic Across the Universe, and I really want to pick it up and read it soon. But I have loads of books for review that I feel like I have to read first, and at the moment I have no idea when I'm going to get around to reading this. One day though...

A Million Suns by Beth Revis (Goodreads)
Synopsis from Goodreads:
Godspeed was fueled by lies. Now it is ruled by chaos.
It's been three months since Amy was unplugged. The life she always knew is over. And everywhere she looks, she sees the walls of the spaceship Godspeed. But there may just be hope: Elder has assumed leadership of the ship. He's finally free to enact his vision - no more Phydus, no more lies.

But when Elder discovers shocking news about the ship, he and Amy race to discover the truth behind life on Godspeed. They must work together to unlock a puzzle that was set in motion hundreds of years earlier, unable to fight the romance that's growing between them and the chaos that threatens to tear them apart.

In book two of the Across the Universe trilogy, New York Times bestselling author Beth Revis mesmerizes us again with a brilliantly crafted mystery filled with action, suspense, romance, and deep philosophical questions. And this time it all builds to one mind-bending conclusion: They have to get off this ship.

  1. I got my copy of this the other day, but I'm not really that fussed about it. Rather sad as I loved Across the Universe.

  4. I got a surprise ARC of this one and couldn't wait to read it so I dove right in. It helped that I had just finished ATU! But I know what you mean about the review books. But sometimes, you just have to say, I get to read what I want today and you read it. If you're really into it, it won't take you long. This one has even more secrets than the last! I thought it was amazing!
Give yourself a day or so off and read it. You'll feel refreshed going back to the review books.
