In My Mailbox 18th March 2012

In My Mailbox is a weekly event hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren where book bloggers can talk about the books they've gotten the past week- whether bought, borrowed, swapped, or given for review. This feature was started to increase interaction between bloggers and to increase our awareness of all the new books coming out.

This week I got the following amazing books-

From the library:

  • Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver. (Goodreads). Yayayayayay! This is the sequel to the amazing Delirium, which I've been waiting for for a year. This is set in a scary world where love is forbidden, and where teenagers are required to get a cure, against the disease of love. I have one question- what happened to Alex?!

  • Legacy by Cayla Kluver. (Goodreads). Some mixed reviews about this one, but I think it looks good- a romantic fantasy story. Princess Hytanica is set up for an arranged marriage, in a story of court conspiracies, enemies of the kingdom, and magic.

  • The Maze Runner by James Dashner. (Goodreads). I've heard lots about this book and have wanted to read it for ages. I finally tracked down an audiobook version of it. This is a dystopian/ sci-fi/ mystery/ survival adventure- I don't really know, but it sounds good!

I got some great books this week- can't wait to get started on them. What books came into your house this week?
Happy reading!

  1. You know, I haven't listened to any audiobooks for a long time perhaps I should pick something up soon. :)

    Great books this week!

  2. The Maze Runner is fantastic and I've had my eye on Legacy for a while. Enjoy!

  3. I love listening to audio books, so much better than listening to the same crappy songs on the radio. I still need to read all of Olivers books

    Happy Reading

  4. Great set! Yay for Pandemonium. I love that cover for the book.

  5. I personally loved Legacy. :)

  6. I wish I got on with audiobooks because then I could listen at work but I get too distracted!

    1. I listen to audiobooks while I'm cooking and doing the washing up- it's tasks that aren't too distracting and times when I can't hold a physical book.

  7. Boy, do I ever wish I had a decent library in town, not to mention finding books like "Pandemonium" there, woohoo! Alas I have to resort to buying and boosting the economy a little.
BTW "The Maze Runner" is awesome (well, the physical book is, and hopefully the audiobook will be too)!

  8. the maze runner was...okay. definatly could have been better and not what i expected. i hope you like it though.

    Check out my IMM

  9. Hope you enjoy Pandemonium...i think it's even better than Delerium.

  10. Lovely haul..i love pandemonium..looking forward to hearing your thoughts

  11. Www, Legacy looks great :) Happy reading!

    Here's my IMM

  12. Wow Pandemonium is a seriously different cover than here in the U.S.! I wouldn't have recognized it! I hope you enjoy it. I haven't read Delirium yet. And Legacy has such a beautiful cover. I read so/so reviews of it, but the second book is going around now and I hear it's much better. And of course, if Maze Runner is your type of book, then it's fantastic.

I hope you enjoy all your books. Can't wait to see what you think of them!

  13. I almost picked up Legacy at the library this weekend; but I ran out of room and nearly dropped everything I already had in my arms; lol so we'll save that for next time! I've been wanting to read the Maze Runner too, I need to finally get that one! And I haven't read Delirium (but I do own it!) so I can't read Pandemonium yet. Great IMM; enjoy all of your books! My IMM

  14. I was going to buy Legacy but decided to wait! Great Haul
